Your observations seem to square with what I have read on Nietzche.
He could be A type though. As with so many historical figures hard to know.
He seemed an iconoclast. It seems that his ideas have become the conventional wisdom of today at least in European thought leaders?
His ideas about science seem amazingly current: relativity both specific to physics and to when used as a general concept, fascinating work on eternal recurrence that seems like current cosmologic theory, universes recurr forever so an individual even would be reconstituted exactly as was with each recurring universe. He thought essentially each cycle repeating every detail but hoped some improvement could be effected each cycle toward the "superman"
Anyway, what little I know about philosophy makes me think he was ahead of his time.
