here in a primate study (marmosets) finding was that high serotonin transporter activity associated with anxiety behaviors. This seems a little different from the often reported low serotonin transporter activity and high serotonin levels increasing anxiety. It may be that humans with P trait and not non-human primates have more anxious behaviors. In humans perhaps those with P trait have negative feelings when faced with the lack of P trait in at least half the rest of the population around them??
