It will be interesting to consider if there is a predominance of N and NA types in Romance language speakers, of which Spanish is one, along with Portuguese, French, Italian, and Romanian.
Aside from language, from which we can glean clues to genetic clustering, there is also the cultural expression of dance. Flamenco as a dance, is characterized by its deep, dark, mysterious, sultry, and fierce nature. Might that be NA?
Flamenco has its roots in Southern Spain, thought to have been developed by the gypsies, who arrived from Inida around 1425. Flamenco has been variously described as wild, mysterious, dark, jaleo or “hell raising” and involved handclapping, foot stomping, and shouts of encouragement. The songs are “a primitive cry or chant accompanied only by the rhythm which would be beaten out on the floor by a wooden staff or cane.”
