Here a gene is related to Parkinson's disease. PD seems related to A- gene. So here the link with IGF1 may be from entanglement because very few if any A- individuals are out there so If one tests individuals with PD, they are usually NA-/NPA- etc. So the IGF1 is really a proxy for N trait instead of for the A- trait that is there in most PD patients.
We discussed reasoning behind IGF1 as an N gene a while back. It is park of the growth hormone functioning. Growth hormone seems prevalent in those with N based on their own increase in height.
