Here hiv infection is noted to be related to non-O blood groups, in fact O- is protective.
It seems that viral infections are often related to ABO blood type. One report noted that the covid-19 was more common in A blood group.
As to NPA types, there may not be a clear tendancy in covid-19. From an evolutionary perspective, ABO A was though to be the blood group of the first humans in Africa. Because of the vulnerability of those with ABO A to malaria severity, those with ABO O over time became the predominant type in malaria prone areas, such as subSaharan Africa.
If ABO A has a tendancy to NPA traits, the current geographic distribution of ABO A would support the connection of ABO A with P trait, (and more specifically NP types).
