Titanium"
The Titanium nib fad started a long time ago (With the Parker T1) and was very popular about twenty years ago, thanks to some Stipula pens that used Titanium nibs. I have used a few and was not impressed. The way ink adheres (or not) to the nib is, in my opinion, not as conducive to good writing characteristics as gold or even steel nibs. Add to that the fact that the iridium pellet is hard to weld to the titanium nin (and often pops off) and the end result is a nib that has no real reason to exist... all IMHO, of course.
