Really old nib sizes (1920s) were not standardized: each manufacturer had its own system.
Later on, there was an attempt at standardizing nibs, but it's always best to check with hardware in hand: the thickness, for instance, is not standard, with Indian nibs being usually thinner than German or Chinese nibs.
