Good Infomation On Ink Sac Installation...
A couple of additional tips. When you use shellac to install latex ink sacs, from my experience, it takes about three days for the shellac to dry between the sac and section nipple. Meaning you need to wait about 3 days (72 hrs.) before you fill the pen with ink. If you lift the lever or push on the fill button before that amount of time has passed, it can pull the ink sac away from the nib, partially or all the way off. I have not fully or satisfactorily tested silicone ink sacs. I need to test shellac on them, but I doubt the shellac will hold as well as silicone RTV caulking. It also is good to let the RTV sit for 3 or 4 days to cure. Michael
