Convert a Parker Vector from RB to FP??

So, I have a Parker Vector FP that has this ridiculous blocky paint job in some really bright colors. Not sure what possessed me to buy it so long ago (I was in high school), but there it is, I have it. I just found it again after missing it for a LONG time and want to use it, but...well, its too, uhm, loud. LOL. I have a black Parker Vector in RB on its way to me from India and got to wondering...
Can the parts just be swapped out so I can make my black Vector RB the fountain pen? Like just switch the (is it called the "section"?) grip area out? I'm just betting the body and caps are all standardized and this would work, but I'd love to hear that someone else has done this. Or if you have a Vector in RB and FP, please give it a shot and let me know? If it wont work, then, well...I'm going to need to buy a Vector in FP. Cause I just ordered the deluxe twist style converter and have ink inbound too. Would suck to only be able to use the pen in the privacy of my own home, LOL.
