I hope this is helpful for those of you who would like to post pictures but are not sure how to go about it.
You must have your pictures uploaded to a photo hosting site. There are many free ones out there. Since I use photobucket, my instructions are geared for that, but I'd guess it would be similar for other sites. (Note: I always have Pentrace open in one window, and then I open photobucket in a second window. I toggle back and forth between the two.)
I made this tutorial several years ago, and photobucket has changed their layout somewhat, but the basic steps are still the same. The key thing you want to do is get that IMG code copied and pasted into the Pentrace message box.
1. Open your photobucket album. If I want to choose the top right photo of the jade Mabie Todd, I click on that thumbnail image.
2. That brings me to this screen, where I have an enlarged picture and various options in the left-hand box titled, Share this image. I've put a blue arrow on my photo below to direct your attention to the bottom line of your code options — the IMG Code. Click inside the little box to the right of that. Sometimes just clicking will automatically copy the code, but you can also do an "edit" "copy" to capture the code.
3. Toggle over to the Pentrace "Post a Message" box and paste the code inside. You'll be able to add text either above or below the pasted code. Your image code will look like this.
4. Remember, you can click the "Preview message" to see if things went as planned. If something is amiss, you can press your browser back button to fix your message before posting. Click "Post message" and you're done!
If all went well, you'll have the actual image show up.
This is how I do it. Other people may have slightly different techniques.
