Not a bad little look at an aspect of GILDA that gets overlooked, due to the (understandably) overheated attention paid to Rita Hayworth...

The idea of one line of dialogue capturing the essence of a character is worth something a bit more systematic, but it would probably work best as a group effort. A place to start would be with something like the IT'S A BITTER LITTLE WORLD anthology of snappy lines from noir...just in case anyone out there in the dark cares to play along!
