Glenn is quite chatty in this somewhat over-effusive review of the early noir directed by Boris Ingster, one of several emigrés (think Gustav Machaty) who deserved more Hollywood time behind the camera. He does note that the film's expressionistic embellishments are more akin to horror than noir.
He praises the new transfer, though, which should give all noiristas a chance to see a better example of early Nick Musuraca...
