As it turns out, they are rather ordinary noirs that feature some nicely-performed jazz. "A must-watch Alec Nicol" anything is a bit of a stretch, but completists won't complain. Noah (Rocky Rockford) Beery Jr. as a noir lead is even more of a stretch, but a gaggle of jazz greats provide some expert musical misdirection...
