Two major Lynch scripts are coming to the block each bearing an estimate between $40,000 and $60,000. One is a final draft production script for the 1997 surreal neo-noir mystery Lost Highway, bearing the signature of Lynch’s co-writer, author Barry Gifford. It comes with two photographs from the set—one of which depicts Lynch and Gifford—plus an elevator pitch for the film that Lynch typed and dated to June 1995.
Another is a rare first draft script and a revised first draft script from Lynch’s 1990 road movie Wild At Heart, also signed by Gifford. These scripts were “distributed only to a small circle of people,” press materials noted. This iteration includes a typed note from producer Monty Montgomery, perhaps best known for playing the cowboy in Lynch’s best-known film, Mulholland Drive.
