Mick mixes it up when he concocts his answers to questions served up by his readers, and this collection is right in the pocket.
I've linked here because he has some fun explaining why EXPERIMENT IN TERROR is somewhat off the radar in 2025--everywhere, of course, except here! :-) And we can hope that Eddie will not continue to penalize his Bay Area faithful and program a San Francisco noir series next year, if only to put it back on the big screen, where it attains its maximum enjoyment.
Elsewhere, he slams the films of the 1950s, and the noir of that time (except for SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS and A FACE IN THE CROWD, the latter of which we can argue about regarding its status as a noir--we await your thoughts)...his takedown of that decade would certainly startle our good friend Foster Hirsch. It seems that Mick never met a Method actor he didn't dislike, and it would be quite something for these two to do a "face-off about the Fifties"...they are probably too old to engage in fisticuffs a la Vidal-Buckley back in the day, but there would be fireworks!! :-)
