Should have done this yesterday, but it's a long holiday weekend (more dismal than usual given the thugs and thieves running roughshod at the moment) and it has an extended expiration date. Eddie had the right idea four years ago when he scheduled THE BRIBE for a July 11th screening--it should've run on the 4th, but TCM bumped him for more patriotic movies that day. I've never been fond of the fourth of July==a feeling that was reinforced thirty years ago when a stray firecracker exploded near my right ear. Fortunately the hearing loss that ensued proved to be extremely mild in nature, but it was a painful, wrenching experience and further soured me on what has always seemed to me to be the American holiday that brings out the worst in people...

The entire film isn't available at YouTube, but this is the best part of the film, so you can just enjoy the fireworks and move on to making arrangements to leave the country before we're all deported...
