Not sure about the claims made at the article linked above, but two things:

1) Dennis Schwartz has some fun in his tag line for his review of this "amnesia neo-noir";

2) Much of Duke Johnson's plot (built from a posthumously published novel by Donald Westlake) seems to be lifted from SOMEWHERE IN THE NIGHT...

THE ACTOR is currently available at Amazon Prime for a nominal fee, the exact details of which have somehow slipped my mind...
