Half of Nightmare Alley takes place in Chicago, so it doesn't particularly fit as a non-urban noir, imo, compared to JEOPARDY or MOONRISE. The Pacific Film Archive at their old location on Durant Ave. was a great place to see films in an ideal archival setting. I saw both Russ Meyer and Tim Carey live there, on separate occasions of course. Who knows how Tim would have responded if he was there with Meyer, since Russ had his 'arm candy" Kitten Natividad along with him.
