Note to Eddie: since you're always looking for the noir component in music, this is an event (and an idea) that is worth some follow-up. Though these folks operate in a classroom, they might have enough crossover with "barroom" to make their efforts worth the type of exposure you might be able to provide. The program notes (though a bit sketchy) have sufficient promise to turn into a CD-length project, given that the prime mover here, Peter Aglinskas, appears to have a solid handle on the scope and sweep of noir music during the classic era.
