Sometimes, films become historical documents of former times and lost cities. As I previously posted many moons ago a sizeable portion of the action in "Appointment With Danger" made use of Gary's former railroad station. It looks like a typical urban passenger railroad terminal.
Fast forward a few decades, and Fred Williamson and Jim Brown filmed "The Original Gangstas" (1996) in Gary and the same railroad station featured in some scenes as a gang infested abandoned building. The entire structure had deteriorated badly and looked like something from an apocalyptic sci fi film.
