A few year ago, the Chicago Whiz Kids nixed "double features" and made every single film a separate paid admission. The Noir City programmers used to package "double features" for a single ticket which seemed to be a good idea marketing wise and the pairing of an "A" title with a "B" film for an affordable price seemed traditional.
I have got to work things out scheduling wise. I am not sure if I can manage to attend every single film during the festival as I used to do. Sadly, the film scheduling from Monday through Thursday is now "A" and "B" rather than "A," "B," and "A." So, I will not be able to see "Brute Force" and "Man in the Dark" in their entirety as their is no late show.
The Music Box is supposed to be replacing the seats in the main auditorium which may be helpful to some of us old timers. Parking around the theater has gotten worse as additional parking restrictions have been imposed.
