Hannah Long's take on the film is ~45 degrees different than most, but doesn't quite cohere, suggesting that the problem can be traced to the fact that we refuse to fully embrace Christian values and allow ourselves to continue to live in a pagan world...and while at one point she alludes to Nietzsche ("eternal recurrence"), it misses the notion that an eschatology might itself just be nothing more or less than a cycle. Points awarded, though, for reminding us of the ironic Biblical name of the film's chief villain...
