A running gag in Hollywood was that Corman could negotiate the production of a film on a pay phone, shoot the film in the booth, and finance it with the money in the change slot.
I'd classify THE INTRUDER as a noir, but such an approach hinges on whether one is willing to grant that Adam Cramer is a homme fatal. If so, then the rest of the noir elements line up rather well.
I note that late last year the American Cinematheque finally got William Shatner out for a screening of it, which I was unfortunately unable to attend.
Happily, however, there is a very good Shatner-Corman conversation about the film available for viewing...
