Long time reader of this excellent website, and let me put in my vote for this very well done thriller, The cast is well chosen, with McNally and Sterling, noir icons in particular standing out. Dick Powell directed what I believe was his first effort and he does a fine job. The film's interesting premise is that both good and bad folks are thrown together in a ghost town, unaware that a bomb testing event by the military is due to be activated the following dawn. I will say no more, but don't pass on this one.
