I think the "cream of the crop" (or close to it...) from any of the years from 1946-51 would make for a stellar festival, and the FNF folk certainly know their American noir more than sufficiently to roll out 18-20 films in a way that makes for compelling entertainment. It will be interesting to see what the lineup will be for the lengthier festival that will play in Silver Spring during October.
