Thanks again for the coverage, Dan. Hoping that with all of that fabulous theater time now over, you might now consider joining Bob and I in our evaluations of the noirs of 1950 (over in the thread ID'd with WOMAN ON THE RUN in it). Use the master list to create six tiers of five films each, so that we have your generalized idea of a Top 30. Hoping to enlist the same from Carl, Colin, Mark, Owen, and any of the others who still stop by our little out-of-the-way noir outpost...it would make for an interesting consensus.

I think the "cream of the crop" (or close to it...) from any of the years from 1946-51 would make for a stellar festival, and the FNF folk certainly know their American noir more than sufficiently to roll out 18-20 films in a way that makes for compelling entertainment. It will be interesting to see what the lineup will be for the lengthier festival that will play in Silver Spring during October.
