Like 1947 and 1949, 1950 is a very strong year for noir. It seems to be that there are 10 that stand out among the rest, so in picking 30 titles, the first ten were quite easy for me to pick. Here it goes -
1) The Asphalt Jungle/The Breaking Point/Night And The City/Gun Crazy/In A Lonely Place
2) Sunset Blvd/Try And Get Me/D.O.A./Guilty Bystander/Where The Sidewalk Ends
3) No Way Out/Edge Of Doom/Caged/No Man Of Her Own/File On Thelma Jordon
4) Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye/Highway 301/The Damned Don’t Cry/711 Ocean Drive/Side Street
5) Shakedown/Woman On The Run/Man Who Cheated Himself/Quicksand/Panic In The Streets
6) Dial 1119/Where Danger Lives/The Sleeping City/Between Midnight And Dawn/Mystery Street
