Much as I would love to see an Eddie O'Brien festival, the current environment in theatrical presentation pretty much precludes such an approach. The time to have done it would have been 2015 (O'Brien's centennial), when it might have made an interesting joint project: the first half done by Eddie as a part of a Noir City, and the second half done by Elliot in the summer at the Castro as part of a "hot summer noir" series.

I think posters/lurkers here at the Board should all write/email TCM and urge them to make O'Brien one of the actors featured in the 2024 "Summer Under The Stars." That would at least provide us with a chance to show 14-15 of his films in one fell swoop.

Doubtless TCM would want to throw in a few non-noirs to preserve their wonky edge (though God only knows what will happen now that David Zaclav has strip-mined the station's programming brain trust...) so we might get something like this:
