I think posters/lurkers here at the Board should all write/email TCM and urge them to make O'Brien one of the actors featured in the 2024 "Summer Under The Stars." That would at least provide us with a chance to show 14-15 of his films in one fell swoop.
Doubtless TCM would want to throw in a few non-noirs to preserve their wonky edge (though God only knows what will happen now that David Zaclav has strip-mined the station's programming brain trust...) so we might get something like this:
5:00am A Girl, A Guy and A Gob
6:30am A Double Life
8:15am Powder Town
9:30am The Killers
11:15am The Web
12:45pm White Heat
2:45pm Backfire
4:30pm D.O.A
6:00pm 711 Ocean Drive
7:45pm The Turning Point
9:15pm The Hitch-Hiker
10:45pm Shield for Murder
12:00mid Pete Kelly's Blues
1:45pm 1984
3:30am The 3rd Voice
Anything that might bring us a restored widescreen version of THE 3RD VOICE is worth the effort.
