A few years ago, I saw "The Brink's Job" which was included at the Noir City Festival. It was a delightful comedy based upon an actual crime. Peter Falk played the lead criminal in a manner befitting Moe Howard of the Three Stooges.
Sheldon Leonard was cast as J. Edgar Hoover. It was really enjoyable.

Friedkin provided some film commentaries as bonus features for DVDs. Two that come to mind are "The Narrow Margin" and "The Leopard Man" if my memory serves correctly.
