I think of it as a "speculative true-crime neo-noir" that presents a still-plausible scenario for the JFK assassination--which is certain not to receive the attention (and subsequent controversy) in 2023 (sixtieth anniversary) in the FNF's NC e-zine as was the case ten years ago!

Today is Robert Ryan day in TCM's Summer Under The Stars, and there have been a number of noirs in the lineup already, so it's a good day to tune in TCM and just leave it in place, virtually assuring you of something interesting to watch, (The same cannot be said for yesterday's star: Debbie Reynolds.)
