Definitely to one side of noir ("the governess in the old dark house" and all that...), but if you haven't seen it for awhile when you come across it here, feel free to give it a (re)watch. It doesn't measure up to THE UNINVITED, to be sure, but it has its moments--and the 20-year old Gail Russell is especially lovely here.
