A theatre that hasn't got much respect from the FNF is front and center this year as renovations drag on at Netflix' Egyptian Theatre--NC "Hollywood" (which really ought to be called "NC LA"...) will decamp to the beach for ten days of "dark fun in the sun."

Some liberties in the 75th anniversary schedule will be found in the listings below (look for the asterisks), but what the heck...

As has been the case all through the '23 NC schedule, downright strange tonalities abound in the double feature choices. Five Alton films in the mix for this 23-title festival, with a double feature on Friday the 11th...but why not put the two Mann/Alton features (RAW DEAL/T-MEN) together? Three films (TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH, WHIPLASH and BODYGUARD) really feel like filler.
