"The Big Chase" was unusual in that it incorporated some low budget footage from a Lippert 3-D short subject film. VCI Entertainment issued the movie on a Forgotten Noir DVD a few years back. One of the bonus features had Robert Lippert, Jr., praising Lon Chaney for helping him get the 3-D project finished on a low budget. Chaney recruited a few stuntmen and they all performed stunts in the film, including running through a railroad switching yards and jumping in front of freight trains. When Lippert produced "The Big Chase" some of Chaney's footage was used to pad the length of the feature film. Lon is noticeable in several scenes, but has no dialogue at all. His sequences were simply spliced into "The Big Chase."
