Thanks, Bitter One--my friends who live there tell me that the Charles Theatre is a venerable, beloved institution in Baltimore, which was expanded from its original cozy 362-seat venue in the late 90s into a five-screen multiplex in a manner somewhat analogous to the Grand Lake. The revival shows (which include the noirs you mention) are screened in that original space, which was retained mostly as-is when the venue was expanded.

Looks like it could be a possible candidate for a Noir City satellite festival, as it's a pretty long commute from Baltimore to Silver Spring for the NC DC event.

But still holding out hope for Noir City Pennsyltucky... :-)
