Yes, you make a valid point there. That said, I guess it depends on what one sets out to do. Hard copies are obviously more likely to stick around and remain accessible for longer, but it's not necessarily what everyone is looking to achieve, and indeed not what is appropriate for everyone. I mean I'm under no illusions about the posts I knock out - I do it because it's an opportunity to express some thoughts on things I watch and it's nice when that sometimes provokes some interesting feedback, introduces me or others to different ideas or some material that is unfamiliar. At the same time, I'm happy to acknowledge that this is all it is and not something that is suitable for or worthy of publishing elsewhere. So, internet based content may be imperfect and runs a greater risk of becoming mere ephemera, but I feel it does serve other purposes both for those who create it and those who consume it. Colin
