Methinks a bit more marketing $$ is being dispensed (possibly at the deep end of the bar...) for Eddie's magnum opus NOIR BAR than was the case for DARK CITY rev 2; this new tome pushes us, sip by sip, away from those claims for noir as a "definitive, indigenous art movement."
That said, I'm looking forward to reading this, knowing that it's the definitive take on "barroom, not classroom" and that there will be at least half a dozen concoctions that will be worth a try even after the affectations contained within (both visual and literary...) have faded from one's eyeballs.
Follow-up suggestion for Eddie and his publisher--NOIR BAR playing cards, which contain the recipes so that folks can take 'em to their favorite gin joint and play expert with bartenders who've likely not heard of more than one-fourth of the libations on display.
