I was genuinely shocked to learn that Helene Stanton was once married to Kenneth Harlan, an actor who started his film career under D. W. Griffith while Woodrow Wilson was in the White House, and wound up playing supporting roles opposite Bela Lugosi in Sam Katzman productions at Monogram Pictures.

The oft married and divorced Harlan (he wed nine times) was more than thirty years older than Stanton. The couple split after four years.
