I’m not much of a Top Ten guy, but that is a nice submission that Eddie did for the Sight & Sound poll. I am delighted by his inclusion of Au hasard Balthazar, a movie that I am fanatical about. I introduced it at the Green Bay Film Society once (as part of an “Animals in the Arts” project!). I can’t say as the audience shared my enthusiasm, but that’s OK, it’s not an easy or comforting film, and I was excited by the opportunity to present it.
