We now know that NC Boston will be a three-day affair, but we await more details about the number of films on the schedule. Of course, our guessing game about its lineup, just down the page a bit (but you can link to it here: https://members.boardhost.com/mrvalentine/msg/1678133588.html) is still waiting for its close-up (and a reckoning WRT to its accuracy). Foster Hirsch will pinch-hit for Eddie Muller at this event.
No Noir City Pennsyltucky as yet, alas. But the Colonial Theatre (about 30 miles NW of Philadelphia) is a fine venue with a main room seating around 650 (split between its main floor and lobby). It has another connection in film lore as the theatre used for the altercation between the malevolent, omnivorous alien life form and the unsuspecting crowd of moviegoers in the 1958 shlock horror classic THE BLOB. Not sure if Eddie will take a cross-country trip for this; Hirsch is closer geographically, but Alan Rode might be a more kindred spirit for the theatre's colorful backstory...
With the Egyptian Theater still out of commission, NC Hollywood moves back to a place that the FNF folk have shunned in the past, the Aero Theater in Santa Monica. We expect another variant of the 1948 series, but NC LA (as I like to call it) has always been a bit different from the others, so there could be a surprise in store here).
We can anticipate some deviation in Chicago as well, but it will likely be minimal; most of it should be a continuation of the 1948 theme.
And expect an expanded version of the 75th anniversary concept at NC DC, where the notion was first employed for 1947 last year.
