In which John sings "the blues"...Brit-noir THE BLUE LAMP; A BLUEPRINT FOR MURDER an Andrew Stone noir that often gets overlooked amongst his darker oeuvre; and the 2013 "post-neo-noir" BLUE RUIN, a grim tale that adds revenge to the basic premise underlying NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN--that whoever unleashes violence in the world will reap a whole heap of parallel disaster on everyone in his wake.
(For reference, BLUE RUIN sits in Mike's "second hundred" list of the top neo-noirs.)
