Another 1948 B-noir that could fit nicely into a "marathon" closing day format at NC. It's a good way to entice folks back for a tenth day: give 'em five films for $20-$25.
Gene Raymond stars and directs here...a little clunky at times, and some won't like the film's swiftly serpentine path to redemption, but-all-in all not bad. (Apologies for the orange "IsoVideo" logo; their print quality is better than any other extant copy of the film.)
Many of you will recognize Osa Massen, here playing under the name Stephanie Paull...
