A much better show than I'm making it sound. This series had a 20 plus episode run in 60-61. The role of Dante was first done by Dick Powell on his "Four Star Playhouse". The series though was created by Blake Edwards and is sort of a rehashed land based version of his "Mr. Lucky" series. Regulars on the series were Alan Mowbray and Tom D'Andrea as a pair of reformed cons who now work for Duff.

DANTE "Hunter with a Badge" 1961-Season 1, Episode 23
A frightened sweat covered man is cringing in the glare of a powerful lamp. A gravelly voice booms out from behind the light, "Talk you weasel! Where did you get the dope!" The voice is none other than your buddy and mine, Charles McGraw.
This is the opening of a neat television episode from the 1960-61 series DANTE. Howard Duff headlines as the somewhat shady owner of a big city nightclub named "Dante's Inferno".
In this episode Detective McGraw is doing whatever it takes to get the goods on Duff. McGraw is convinced Duff is dealing dope and running a bookmaking racket. When McGraw's brother who happens to be Duff's lawyer is killed, McGraw decides it is Duff's fault. McGraw intends to give Duff a bullet to the head to even things out.
He soon finds out it was the work of a couple of hoods trying to stop the brother from going to court on another case. A couple of knockdown fist-fights and the real killers are grabbed up. McGraw and Duff share a bottle and make peace.
