Another of the 1948 films oddly missing from the 24-film 75th anniversary Noir City 20 (NC Oakland 2!) festival coming up in three weeks...(print problems, maybe? given the FNF love for André de Toth, you'd think it would be a slam dunk).

Liz Scott's favorite film of all those she worked on, and (IMO) her best performance. There are some interesting comments from her included in Todd Hughes' recent LUNCH WITH LIZABETH, where she talks about the making of the film and her appreciation for the creative approach taken by director de Toth.
