As for melodrama, I'm keener on Cat on a Hot Tin Roof than I perhaps ought to be, or than it deserves, but I'm left scratching my head over how it is considered worthy of a place over any of Sirk's movies. And while Minnelli is represented, surely Some Came Running should have made the cut too.
I thought it's a bit light on Sci-Fi, with nothing from Jack Arnold, not even The Incredible Shrinking Man.
