While I like Charles McGraw quite a bit and was glad to see him in an important role, "The Cruel Tower" struck me as being cheaply made and a trifle odd. When Steve Brodie fell to his death, why was there no police inquiry or coroner's inquest? This made no sense at all. "The Cruel Tower" also sort of reminded me of a better acrophobic film "Edge of Eternity" with Cornel Wilde. Maybe if Mel Brooks performed the number "High Anxiety" it would have helped.
