No arguments that the Balboa is sub-optimal, but the 2005 festival ("NY-LA") was arguably the best and most varied lineup EM has ever done.

It took until 2007 for things to get patched up in a way that brought NC back to the Castro, with two of the least appetizing festival lineups occurring in the next few years there.
