I'm assuming that both versions use the restored print, which could be a big deal, relatively speaking, since the cinematographer in question is John Alton. That's really the calling card for this one...
Aside from Kino, most of the recent releases follow this approach--many extras, restored print--and a higher price.
It's clearly a marginal film, but I think it's still "in the continuum" of items that a completist would be willing to add to his/her collection.
