PLUNDER ROAD and H-8... earn their props as "vehicular noir," a potent (if somewhat sparsely populated) sub-genre that has slipped through the cracks of more venerable and venerated purveyors of noir...
Hubert Cornfield and Ernie Haller have a lot of fun with starkly noir shots in the early going of PLUNDER ROAD...
Dennis didn't get to see EPILOG or MANY PASSED BY (the Sunday features), but you can be assured that they are at least the equals of the two Saturday films.
One nit: it's not "sporadic," Dennis...it's "recurring"..."recurring"!! The full schedule for MIDCENTURY MADNESS can be seen here:

There will be another schedule change in April, as we recalibrate for both the current emotional needs of our audience (as so many are both numbed and outraged by the events in the Ukraine) and to achieve a more precise tonal balance between the double features scheduled for April 3: ONE POTATO, TWO POTATO will be replaced by the grittier but ultimately more hopeful NOTHING BUT A MAN, which will follow on the heels of THE INTRUDER, where Bill Shatner is as terrifying and unscrupulous as some of the folk that have oozed their way into Congress.
