Vickers' voice was unusual and her timbre/cadence was very idiosyncratic, with oddly arch, curiously forceful and often overly enunciated words and phrases. This seems to reach its apex when she plays a "hep kitten" on one of the most stylized episodes of PERRY MASON, "The Case of the Jaded Joker," but it seems that everyone has been partaking of the wacky tobacky in that episode--even Ray Collins in the highly amusing coda.
