As NIGHTMARE ALLEY continues to crawl toward the $10million mark, my "noir" feed takes a break from recycled articles about it to move 10,000 miles away--where another remake is in the works. Except that... 1) This remake is primarily a language change, from Tamil to Hindu; 2) The new film (which won't premiere until September) is a remake of a film made in 2017 https://www.firstpost.com/entertainment/hrithik-roshans-first-look-from-vikram-vedha-out-on-his-birthday-check-details-here-10272341.html For Indian heartthrob Hrithik Roshan, the role is a switch somewhat on the order of Tyrone Power, but there don't appear to be any chickens or mentalists to be found in VIKRAM VEDHA. |
