It's certainly an odd list. None of these films would be low rated by anyone who likes noir. Maybe people who don't care for film noir or who just don't care for older B/W movies in general would underrate them---if they ever actually bothered to watch them. I fear the vast majority of people under 50 (or maybe even 60) have never seen these films and wouldn't watch them unless paid. I know people who consider themselves movie lovers who've never seen DOUBLE INDEMNITY or THE MALTESE FALCON. This is sort of like listing some hit songs by Frank Sinatra, Jo Stafford or Peggy Lee and saying they're underrated.
